A board of education, college committee or college board is the board of directors or board of trustees of a school, neighborhood college district or greater administrative level. Meetings of the Board are open to the public, except for executive sessions during which Board members may possibly talk about only business as defined by the Ohio Revised Code. Whereas state boards of education constitute the governing and policymaking body for the state program of public education, regional college boards physical exercise duty for the selection- and policymaking for individual school districts.
